--Enhancing mining momentum, accelerating industrial growth
September 9th Wednesday)-10th Thursday),

Beijing , China
“Asia Mining Tunneling summit2009” will be convened on September 9th-10th, in InterContinental Beijing Financial Street, China. This event is co-organized by Tunnel and Underground Works Branch of China Civil Engineering Society and Global Leaders Institute, and also has the support from Information Center of Beijing General Research Institute Of Mining & Metallurgy, China International Mining Group (CIMG), Mongolian National Mining Association and The Swedish Mining & Tunnelling Group (SMTG)
At present, the underground metal mines composes 89% of the overall metal mines of China, and the underground iron ore mines, though only account for 10% of the national output, are on the transition from surface to underground mining. Thus, underground mining technology is becoming more and more important. A lot of new technologies and techniques are being used in the mining industry, but there is still a technology gap between the Asian countries and western countries. Whether the underground tunneling or mining, the technologies employed by Asian countries are perceived as outdated in an expert’s view. And the project management, throughput in the quarry, and labor productivity are to be greatly enhanced.
In recent years, while on their development paths to industrialization, Asia Economies, especially China are experiencing the natural resources bottleneck more then ever. This developing country with the highest economic growth is very eager to find the breakthrough in its search for natural resources to foster its industrial development.
March 22nd, 2009, officer from The Ministry of Land and Resources PRC announced that China will start its ‘Drill Down Into Deep Earth’ exploration plan in order to find mineral resources and alleviate geological calamities. Apparently, the implication of this policy makes the need to speed up the deep mining technology importing and updating becoming more and more pressing.
in the light of these new changes, we have invited National Mining Corps/Independent Mining Corps, Government Agencies, Mining equipment providers, Underground mining project engineering/contractors, Mining & Tunneling service companies, Underground facilities and technology vendors, IT and software solutions providers, Mining facilities charters and brokers, Health, safety and environmental consulting, Companies, Investment banks, Insurance & risk management companies, Law firms, Research and academic organizations to discuss subjects ranging from policy& business to technology and equipment for the underground mining industry, which include: technology innovations& equipment development status of the underground mining industry, market strategy adjustment, competitiveness and cooperation of the Asian mining market, exploration and exploitation technology trends, underground mine site design & planning, Safety management and green mine construction etc.
