“Home Network Standard Industrialization Alliance-ITOPHOME” (hereinafter referred to as “the Alliance”) is a non-for-profit alliance of the industry members organized voluntarily on the basis of willingness, equality and cooperation for furtherance of home network system technological research and development, standardization and industrialization.

IGRS adopts in its operations a fair, open and interoperable policy that any companies, foreign or domestic, are welcomed to join, participate and contribute to the standards work. Its processes are transparent and fair to all.
IGRS Working Group (IGRS Alliance) formed a strong alliance by bringing together many major Chinese and International enterprises and research institutes, to successfully build a complete IGRS industry chain with enterprises in IT, computer and CE industries and to unify the industry and research forces to form strong alliance. IGRS has 59 members today (April 2006). These members include TV, PC, ISP, ICP, hardware/IC, software, middleware, research institutions, communication equipment manufacturers etc. Members include some of the largest companies in China, such as China Telecom (internet service and content provider), Huawei (telecom equipment maker), Changhong (TV manufacturer), Hisense (digital device manufacturer), TCL, ZTE etc.

HKWDC is a flagship project of WTIA, which has transformed the conceptual model into a solid body to accelerate the awareness, development and usage of wireless application technology in Hong Kong. It has acquired financial assistance from HKSAR and sponsorship from quasi – government organizations and wireless industry players.
HKWDC provides a full range of wireless connectivity services, facilities, information, testing services and business networks to wireless parties, especially for application developers. This can greatly assist them in growing and developing in an increasingly competitive wireless market.

The Home Gateway Initiative (HGI) is an industry body that offers an active dialogue between telecom operators, vendors and manufacturers and defines technical specifications for Home Gateways. The group, founded by nine telecom operators in 2004, currently represents the key worldwide players in the home gateway and home networking domain, including operators, CPE vendors, chipset manufacturers, network equipment providers and software designers. The HGI works to facilitate the development of a Home Gateway device that matches the business requirements of telecom operators; shortening the time to market of advanced, revenue generating services whilst providing an improved customer experience by seamlessly integrating devices, networks and services into a homogeneous, easy to use broadband home environment.
